My twin brother Michael and I were sitting at a bar in Richmond, Virginia. The topic that came up: we love to watch and bet UFC. Wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t always lose?
Mike was a great wrestler in high school. I wasn’t and mostly watched him. In our late teens we spent hours together, on edge in stinky gyms.
Mike thought this experience gave him an edge. A good example would be Till vs. Woodley for the Welterweight title in September 2018 when Darren was still undefeated. “Look Tommy, you have to understand the mindset.” He told me earnestly. “These are evenly matched guys, and going in with no losses means something big to both fighters. Darren Till, lock city.”
Till got choked out in second round.
We eventually decided it would a good idea to come up with a way to gain an edge, measure it, and have a research process in place to get it back if we lost it.
So we built it. No we’d like to share it with you.
